Johannes Brahms selected this text to begin his monumental — yet deeply personal — choral masterwork: A German Requiem. Written in honor of his mother and his mentor, Robert Schumann, Brahms referred to the work as “A Human Requiem.” The Williamsburg Choral Guild will present the Brahms Requiem in Williamsburg and Newport News accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra with guest vocal soloists.

Doors open at 6:30 pm for 7:30 pm concerts and 3:00 pm for 4:00 pm concerts.
A pre-concert lecture begins 30 minutes before the concert.
The cost of Dr. Parks’ pre-concert lecture is included in the ticket price.

Adult Tickets
Adult tickets for all concerts are available for $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
Student Tickets
Tickets for students age 12 to 18 are available for $10. A valid student I.D. is required.
Tickets for Children are Free
Children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets for children may be reserved online or by contacting us.
Group Rates
A group rate of $17.00 per ticket is available for online orders with 10 or more adult tickets. The discount on each ticket will be calculated at checkout in your online order and can be verified in your shopping cart. No coupon is needed.

Additional Information
Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to use any of your tickets, you may mail them to the Williamsburg Choral Guild at PO Box 1864, Williamsburg, VA 23187 with a request that the returned ticket(s) be treated as a contribution. You will receive a letter acknowledging your tax-deductible contribution to the Guild in the dollar value of the ticket(s).
